Mattel has teased the company’s refreshed Google Cardboard-like offering, the View-Master. This new device, titled the View-Master DLX, is an updated version and was displayed at the New York Toy Fair, showcasing the improved optical lenses and even a new headphone connector. While it’s expected to be priced higher than previous versions, we’re looking at least a few new features being added.

As well as the headphone connector for attaching your favorite pair of vibrating earmuffs, the new unit will also offer focal adjustment and should be able to support a wider selection of mobile devices. We’re looking forward to trying this new version of the company’s Google Cardboard-inspired unit out when released. The View-Master DLX is expected to go on sale later this year.
